Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I was surprised to see Byron Davies on your letters pages claiming that he had not voted in favour of fracking underneath Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Fri 19th May).

Allow me to refresh his memory.

On 16th December 2015, Byron Davies cast his vote in favour of allowing companies to place their drilling rigs on the edge of AONBs and then to frack horizontally underneath them.

Byron's voting history, of which he claims to be proud, is all on the public record. Alongside his support for fracking, his record includes repeated votes to block action on tax avoidance and evasion, and votes against abolishing the 'tampon tax.' I am not sure this what the people of Gower expected when they sent him to be their voice in Westminster.

I am a well-respected professional woman who is hard working and approachable. I do not base my literature on untruths. I only deal with the facts.

Yours,

Tonia Antoniazzi

Bullseye! Though I dont always rely on 'professionals' to unvarnished truth. Maybe you have even better credentials, that you share with lots of more or less formally qualified people.

We have a press which has been shown during this election to be biased in favour of the Conservative Party. This is, presumably, why Mr Davies thinks it appropriate to use the pages of the Evening Post to continue his campaign of personal attacks on individual Candidates and the leader of the Labour Party.
This election should be about ideas. I'll ask Mr Zdavies outright, are you in favour of fracking on or under a Gower? If that's what you believe then say so.
As someone who is very much against fracking I'm prepared to Respect your opinion but what exactly is it?

If this is to the editor of the Evening Post do you think he will publish it?The Post is part of the same group as the Daily Mail.Good luck you are going to win Gowerton back for us.

I remember Byron supporting, if not organising a petition to stop the Assembly giving Gower a title/status that would have given Gower even more enviromental protection. Ironic (or is it?) seeing as he later voted to Frack beneath Gower/AONBs!
